THE DRAMA PROGRAM (Suggested for Grades 1-6)

Join the energetic and talented Arts Express staff every week at your school, and develop your confidence and dramatic talents!!
THE IMPROV PROGRAM (Suggested for Grades 4-6)
Students use their imagination and creativity to spontaneously act out various situations. Improvisation has a set of very specific rules that are followed in order to help create effective scenes. The purpose of improvisation from a drama in education perspective is to help students react with spontaneity and to inspire imaginative and creative thinking while building self confidence.
PUPPET MAKING PROGRAM (Suggested for Grades 1-3)
Students use their imagination and creativity to develop original puppets, characters and voices. A story is created by the students starring “the puppets” and the children build their own props, backdrops and sets. This innovative and exciting after school workshop is designed to encourage children’s creative side while developing self-esteem and self-confidence.
HIP-HOP (Suggested for Grades 4-8)/ HIP-HOP Jr. (Grades 1-3)
Pump it up and conquer the basics of this urban dance movement. Using today’s music, students will explore innovative dance steps and funk rhythms in an energetic and fun environment. Participants will learn to let their inner beat loose using break dancing, hip hop and street jazz moves
SKETCHING AND DRAWING (Suggested for Grades 4-8)
Students will explore their creativity through sketching and drawing using several different mediums including pastels, charcoal and pencil. The Sketching/Drawing program allows students to develop their artistic techniques and skills in a positive and encouraging environment.
CREATIVE KIDZ (Suggested for Grades 1-3)
Make a wand! Catch a wizard! Journey underwater and dance with the King Triton and the mermaids! Students will explore their imagination to its deepest corners with silly stories, magical music, and crazy crafts. As a “creative kid” your child will become a one of a kind story teller, and captivate their friends with their awesome art.
MICROSOFT WORD (Suggested for Grades 3-6)
Create captivating documents with Microsoft Word. From cutting and pasting to tables and watermarks, you will learn everything from the basics to advanced topics in this course. Students will learn to become more efficient with class assignments and homework through the effective use of MS Word.
MICROSOFT POWERPOINT (Suggested for Grades 3-6)
Create stunning presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint. From simple slides to transitions and animations, you will learn everything from the basics to advanced topics in this course. Students will learn how to enhance their class assignments and presentations through effective use of MS PowerPoint.
WEBSITE CREATION (Suggested for Grades 3-6)
Want to create your own website? It's easier than it sounds. From creating the site to publishing it on the Internet, you will learn everything needed to create a professional looking website in this
course.
INTERNET RESEARCH (Suggested for Grades 3-6)
Want to create "A+" essays and projects? We'll use the Internet to show you how! The Internet is a vast resource for information and research. However, there are a lot of tricks to finding information that is accurate and relevant. This course teaches you tips and tricks to properly search for and utilize relevant information on the Internet.
